Military Service

Proud veteran with service across three branches of the United States military, the U.S. Navy Submarine Force, the U.S. Navy Seabees, and the U.S. Air Force, bringing a broad understanding of teamwork, mission readiness, and leadership.

Served as a Navy Submariner, where discipline, accountability, and trust are not optional; they are required for survival and success.

Continued service with the Navy Seabees, supporting mission-focused operations that demand adaptability, problem solving, and commitment to getting the job done under challenging conditions.

Served with the U.S. Air Force, further strengthening operational leadership skills and interservice cooperation.

​

Following the horrific events of September 2001, volunteered to serve and was later called to active duty for combat service in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom.

​

Combat service instilled a lifelong respect for sacrifice, preparation, and the importance of looking out for those beside you, values that guide both personal leadership and public service.

 

Military discipline shapes a leadership style rooted in clear expectations, accountability, respect for chain of command, and mission-focused decision making.

As Mayor, committed to honoring veterans not just with words, but through strong support services, public safety investment, and responsible leadership worthy of their sacrifice.
